The most recent earthquakes in three Caribbean Islands  

 

The U.S. Geological Survey known as USGS revealed that the three Caribbean islands were shaken by earthquakes in Sunday, September 17, 2018. These earthquakes were measured a 3.3 maximum on the Richter scale.  Many residents listen to the News Caraïbes related to this earthquake and make an informed decision about how to be safe. 

 


Jamica is one of the most beautiful island countries in Caribbean Sea. This island country registered the maximum 3.3 earthquake at 2.46 p.m. yesterday. This earthquake occurred six miles from Above Rocks in Jamaica. This major earthquake was felt in different parishes like St Catherine, St Andrew and Kingston. On the other hand, there was no notable damage in these places.  

 

A qualified team in the University of the West Indies revealed that light earthquake which was measured a magnitude of 4.6. This earthquake was felt in St Catherine and Corporate Area at 1:47 p.m. as per the Jamaica time. 

 

This recent earthquake took place in Jamica weeks subsequent to an earthquake which was measured 5.2 Richter scale jolted the island on the date 3 September, 2018.  The USGS make public that tremors of 3.2 Richter scale registered near Dominican Republic Boca de Yuma at 9:58 a.m. However, an earthquake registered in Puerto Rico was a 2.9 Richter scale 55km NNW of San Antonio around 4:51 p.m.
